Season Ends With Win Over Lubbock |

Following the 10-1 ambushing of Midland Lee, Permian's season came to a close with a two game win streak. The Panthers claimed a 6-5 victory over Lubbock High at Westerner Field in Lubbock on Saturday afternoon. The Black Cats utilized the first inning to grab a three run lead. Eventually, the Westerners came back to tie the game 5-5 in the sixth inning. Permian answered and reclaimed the lead in the top of the seventh. Trailing by a run, Lubbock had their last threat dashed when Jack Wilkins made a diving catch on a long fly ball to right field.

Mojo All Over Rebels, 10-1 |

It was a special day for the seniors of Permian's baseball team. It was also a day for the Panthers to give the Lee Rebels a thorough 10-1 lashing in front of the Mojo faithful. While neither team will qualify for the post-season playoffs, Permian played a near flawless game - commiting only one error in the seven innings. The victory at McCanlies Field closes out the home dates for the 2010 season, with the Panthers looking to pick up one more district win in Lubbock on Saturday.

Permian Has Double Trouble With Bulldogs |

In doubleheader action at McCanlies Field, Midland High took both games from Permian. The Bulldogs claimed a 10-0 decision in six innings, and the Panthers were on the short end of a 19-0 score in five innings. In the first game, Midland scored a run in the first, another in the second and three runs in the third inning. The Bulldogs added two more in the fourth and three in the sixth.

One Inning Wipe-Out Rears Its Head |

It was the "one inning wipe-out" that once again grabbed victory from the hands of the Panthers on Tuesday afternoon. Permian looked on course to knock off San Angelo Central at McCanlies Field, but a three run sixth inning by the Bobcats played spoiler in the 4-3 decision.
