Following the 10-1 ambushing of Midland Lee, Permian's season came to a close with a two game win streak. The Panthers claimed a 6-5 victory over Lubbock High at Westerner Field in Lubbock on Saturday afternoon.
The Black Cats utilized the first inning to grab a three run lead. Eventually, the Westerners came back to tie the game 5-5 in the sixth inning. Permian answered and reclaimed the lead in the top of the seventh. Trailing by a run, Lubbock had their last threat dashed when Jack Wilkins made a diving catch on a long fly ball to right field.
Jake Armstrong pitched a complete game and picked up the win. The Panthers are also credited with recording an error-free seven innings of play.
